Mountain Climbing

If you have a passion for heights and adrenaline rush, then mountain climbing is the best for you this summer in Philippines. Mountain climbing takes more than just courage to discover different mountain terrains in the country. You need good climbing gear, a healthy body, and the will to face unexpected change of weather conditions until you reach the summit. Mountain climbing is a lifestyle sport involving hiking and trekking through rugged terrain, camping, climbing over rocks, fallen trees and logs, passing by thick vegetation, crossing rivers, and exploring the great outdoors. This feat requires a great deal of patience, physical endurance, motivation, and presence of mind. Only a few people get to appreciate this activity because climbing any mountain is a very difficult activity. Aside from struggling and reaching the peak, you have to carry loads of other things to survive such as climbing gear, cooking utensils, food, your tent, and water.  You also need a good pair of hiking shoes and backpack. Most of all, you must learn the basic survival skills coz you never know what happens when you are up there. The person who loves to climb mountains is usually referred to as a mountaineer.

UK Pinoy Diaspora
